Within hours of HTC unveiling the new Eye Experience imaging enhancements, the company has started rolling it out in select markets. We are seeing reports from Europe in the XDA forums that the update has been live for the SIM-free units since this afternoon.
Around 252MB in size, the update is available over-the-air and brings the Eye Experience changes as well as Android 4.4.4 to the smartphone. As soon as the update is available for your phone, you will get notification on your M8, or you can manually look for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update.
HTC’s new Eye Experience includes enhancements like Auto and Voice selfie, enhanced video calls, live make-up, face fusion and more. You can read about these in detail in this report.
