NEC is set to launch its new 2-in-1 tablet and notebook hybrid, the NEC Hybrid Standard, which has an 11.6-inch display and runs on an Intel Core M processor.
Along with its detachable keyboard, the higher tier model also comes with a digital stylus.
The display is 1920 x 1080 pixels and it comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage.
It supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, and features a microSDXC card slot, micro HDMI out, a USB 3.0 port and an USB 2.0 port.
Two models will be released – the cheaper of the two runs on an 800MHz Intel Core M-5Y10c processor and the more costly model runs on a 1.2GHz Core M-5Y71 chip.
As it’s Japan, the prices aren’t as wallet-friendly as we’d hope – the starting price for the lower spec model is 154,800 yen (US $1,300).
