Chinese chip manufacturer Allwinner wants to bring down the cost of running high quality videos with its new Allwinner A64 S0C processor.
Touted as a cost-effective solution to 4K video and faster processing, the A64 sports four Cortex A53 CPU cores and supports H.265/H.64 video decoding, as well as 4K video output via HDMI.
These chips will be available to device manufacturers at the low cost of $5, which could usher in a new generation of high powered affordable devices running Android 5.0.
