The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has officially been announced and it will launch in 8- and 9.8-inch variations, both with 4:3 aspect ratios.
Both size displays are 2048 x 1536 resolution and both models run on an octacore processor, which measure up as four 1.9GHz cores and four 1.3GHz cores.
The S2 comes with 3GB of RAM and storage options are 32GB and 64GB, expandable up to 128GB via microSD.
The rear camera is 8MP and it has a 2.1MP front-facer.
It will launch with Android Lollipop out of the box and connectivity options are WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
For security there’s a fingerprint scanner beneath the home button and the unit measures 5.6mm thick.
The two sizes have their own batteries – the 8-incher has a 4000mAh battery, while the 9.7-inch model carries a 5,870mAh unit.
