Apple has always been very exclusive about welcoming anything that is not made by them, but there is one thing they should be more open about. That would be accepting non-Apple smartphones as trade-ins, which is something they are now opening up more to.

The Cupertino-based company is now allowing people to trade in Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry devices. Any user can bring said devices in and get credit towards a new iPhone. Likewise, you can now trade in any computer for credit towards a Mac PC.

This new program is only available with retail locations, which is a bit unfortunate, but Apple is making big moves here.

OnePlus Two Details Leak Out: Q3 Launch, Oppo Find 7 Style Design, New Fingerprint Scanner With Laser Focus

OnePlus Two gets a new leak this week, detailing some new aspects of the device. Previously we’ve heard this model was going to be a big deal in 2015 and it was going to cost more than the predecessor.

Now we learn it’ll come in Q3, offering a design similar to the Oppo Find 7 and a fingerprint scanner. Said scanner will be integrated within a Home button, although the OnePlus One didn’t have such a button to begin with. The scanner will rely on a special laser focus technology, that’s unique compared to the rivals’ solutions. It also appears the newcomer will bring a non removable battery, it will lack a microSD card slot and rely on a Snapdragon 810 CPU.

Android 5.0 will be on board, capacitive buttons will also be included and we expect 3 or 4 GB of RAM to be included here, plus a 20+ megapixel camera. We usually hear about laser focus related to the camera, rather than a fingerprint scanner, so we’re really curious about this innovation.

OyxgenOS Delay Explained, After a Few Days of Delay

We previously expected OxygenOS, the famous OnePlus ROM to come on March 27th and today we get a clarification regarding the delay. First of all, the CyanogenMod 12S official OTA update waspromised for March 30, while the OxygenOS was promised for the 27th, but the latter didn’t come.

Interestingly enough, OnePlus anticipated a potential delay and promised to give away 5 64 GB OnePlus One devices to the fans. Those who replied to the thread here were eligible. Well, we have good news and bad news, since Helen, Head of Mobile Products at OnePlus has took to the OnePlus Forum to announce the 5 winners and obviously the delay.

The OxygenOS ROM is said to be fully functional and people in the OnePlus office are already running it on their own devices. The delay was blamed on the “extra quality control”, as OnePlus wants to make sure that OxygenOS passes Google certification with flying colors. In the meantime, CyanogenMod 12 is also awaited, but that’s not totally OnePlus’s responsability.

This ROM has been in the worlds for almost 2 months now, so let’s give it some more time.
